The championship will be broadcast on Band and will feature the presence of big names in women’s football, such as Marta, Cristiane, Debinha and Alline Calandrini
The eighth edition of Mano a Mano Donas do Jogo, a tournament aimed at women’s football, announced that it will be sponsored by Guaran Antarctica and Enel Distribuio Rio, the latter under the Sports Incentive Law of the Government of Rio de Janeiro, through the Secretary of State for Sport and Leisure.
The tournament will feature big names in the sport, such as Marta, Cristiane, Debinha and Alline Calandrini and will take place at Praia de Icara, in Niteri (RJ), this Saturday (27). The championship will be broadcast by Band.
Mano a Mano is a very special project because it manages to transcend sports. We use football to bring a message of equality, to show that women are empowered, that we need to respect them. And it does so using the powerful voice of the players who are participating as replicators of this concept, said Bernardo Fonseca, CEO of X3M.
The players will be part of the competition teams, which will be held in the format of a goal, a popular game in Brazilian streets.
This year’s edition makes us very proud because, in addition to encouraging the strengthening of women’s football, it gives rise to extremely important issues such as equality, respect and justice for women. The presence of athletes who overcame prejudices to practice their passion is one more stimulus to encourage other women and provoke a reflection on the subject, added Fernanda Cozac, Marketing director at Dream Factory.
