Converse and CLOT have teamed up for a collaboration that aims to honor one of China’s main national symbols, the pandas.
In addition to the collection, Converse and CLOT are celebrating International Panda Day, echoing the call to preserve the giant panda. Along with the launch of the pair, the brands also released a short film that shows CLOT Founder and Creative Director Edison Chen featuring the panda mascot, Ning Ning, who goes on a series of adventures while wearing the Converse-CLOT Panda. The partnership between the brands, which resulted in a new design for the Chuck 70, aims to use the panda figure as a symbol of peace and spread these positive feelings around the world, encouraging society to create a better future.
The sneakers, which are one of Converse’s classics, were customized in black and white, structured with a mix of soft-touch fabrics and artificial fur depicting the texture of the bear.
