Signed by CP+B, the #ChegaDeFogos campaign features videos that portray the panic of distressed pets during the release of fireworks
A goal by Brazil in the World Cup brings joy to millions across the country, it is true, but at the same time it leaves millions of other pets, such as dogs and cats, in a panic. Anyone who has a pet at home knows how they feel every time the fireworks go off.
Last year, then-governor João Doria sanctioned a law that prohibits the ‘burning, release, commercialization, storage and transport of fireworks and fireworks in the state of São Paulo’. The sanction was published in the July 29, 2021 edition of the Diário Oficial do Estado.
The ban applies to indoors, outdoors, public areas and private places. Fireworks that produce visual effects without popping can continue to be used and marketed.
But what you see, especially on matchdays for the Brazilian team, is that the law is not enforced. However, in order to raise awareness about the use of fireworks with stamps, Petlove presents the campaign #ChegaDeFogos.
With the creation of CP+B, the action will stamp public spaces in the cities of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro with videos and headlines that portray the panic of the distressed pets during the release of fireworks.
Until the next 5th, Petlove will use technology to demonstrate real reactions of animals to excessive noise: throughout the day, the panels will show outstanding titles of articles from communication vehicles about accidents that occurred with pets as a result of the excessive noise.
When the intense sound of fireworks begins, in real time, a trigger is activated and real videos of pets in a situation of fear begin to be transmitted.
“We are aware of the disturbances that fires cause in animals, but a brand was missing to bring this issue in a broader and more genuine way. In this campaign, we used real content that was captured on social networks so that the largest number of people have the real dimension of the importance this cause”, says Luciana Cardoso, creative director of CP+B
In Rio de Janeiro, the main point will be a giant billboard, 10 x 18 m, in the middle of the avenue. Viscount of Albuquerque, in Leblon. In So Paulo, the campaign will be distributed at five more bus stops in locations close to Ibirapuera Park and the region.
The objective is to disseminate an essential message about the well-being and health of animals and portray the sad scenario resulting from the release of rojes with a bang, endorsing the need for stricter policies in relation to this front, said the head of communication and brand of the Petlove, Filipe Botton.
The movement also has the support of animal protection powers, such as AMPARA Animal, Instituto Luisa Mell and Delegate Bruno Lima.
