One of the most emblematic football venues in the country, Pacaembu already knows the Brazilian representative who will ‘enter the field’ in the world final of the biggest VALORANT tournament for university students, the Red Bull Campus Clutch. With an extensive pool of agents, tactical variations and overwhelming dominance of pistols and maps, Scroll Lock smashed the Tanto Faz team this Sunday (4), won 3-0 against MD5 and guaranteed entry into the international server from the next day 11, against more than 40 countries.
The public can follow the best moments through the official broadcast, available on Twitch (under the command of Tixinha and Babi Micheletto. Lula Molusco, player, says:
“I am really happy. I played last year and now I came back and won the Brazilian title. The difference was the calls, because our team has a lot of experience. In the beginning, in Breeze, it was more difficult, because it was the beginning of the final. Then we got better. Now, I’m looking forward to playing this international final. I’ve never played on LAN. It must be really fun.”
With VALORANT players since Beta, the Scroll Lock team entered the final with UrangO (Administration – Mackenzie), nand1nh0 (System Analysis and Development – CEUNSP), Lula Molusco (Law – Univr), Fluyr (Electrical Engineering – USP) and Gbzjn (IT – Uniasselvi). Tanta Faz, made up of former Fortnite and Overwatch players, faced the decision formed by Lupatelli (Science and Technology – UFABC), Anp4 (Neuroscience – UFABC), goN (Science and Technology – UFABC), Halmazk (Technology Management da Informação – UniSantaCruz) and Lovely (Foreign Trade – Univali).
On Breeze, Tanto Faz didn’t live up to the map’s top pick preference. Scroll Lock came in with a dominant attacking strategy, winning two pistols and always staying in the lead. With Operator and with Chamber, Lula Molusco led the victory by 13 to 7. In Haven, Scroll Lock took almost ten rounds to open a large advantage, as the opponents were more concise. Even so, Urango was the standout, dominating Raze. The score of 13 to 7 was repeated again.
On the last map, Ascent, Tanto Faz suffered from the pressure of not being able to make mistakes anymore. Scroll Lock, which has much more experienced players with passages through stages, took advantage of this rival’s inconstancy and opened up a large advantage until the switch of sides, when Tanto Faz won a few rounds in a row and seemed to resurface in the final. However, it lost momentum and saw Scroll Lock close MD5 in three maps, by 13 to 6, with a show by Urango (Jett) and Lula Molusco (left Chamber, from the two previous maps, and went to Omen in the last one).
