In addition to the actor, the traditional campaign also stars the leaders of the group Arthur Sadoun and Maurice Lvy
Publicis released its traditional year-end film this Tuesday (1), called “Useful Wishes”, but unlike other years, where the group celebrated their achievements, in 2022 they chose to use the space to raise awareness about the HPV virus.
Traditionally, the video stars Arthur Sadoun, CEO and chairman of Publicis Groupe, and Maurice Lvy, his predecessor and current chairman of the group’s supervisory board. The subject of HPV is a particularly personal one for Sadoun, who was diagnosed with and treated for a virus-related cancer earlier this year.
During the film, Arthur and Maurice talk about the year 2022 and the current CEO presents the data that 80% of adults have the HPV virus and, from there, the conversation unfolds. Who stars in the campaign alongside the executives is actor Michael Douglas, who also went through a cancer related to HPV.
The film “Usefull Wishes”, was created by Le Truc, in partnership with Prodigious.
It is worth remembering that this is not the first time that Arthur and Maurice act together. In the 2021 year-end message, the executives also starred in the film, when they announced that the group’s collaborators would be able to work from anywhere in the world for six weeks in 2022.
In June 2020, the leaders faced a 007-style mission, complete with a suspenseful soundtrack and a lot of good humor. Created by the Marcel agency, the film Yes We Cannes shows their journey from Publicis headquarters in Paris.
In the 2020 year-end film, the executives also starred in the play together. The campaign showed the two in full social isolation, with the right to a protruding belly and a mask, in the best style lying on the couch. The idea was to publicize a virtual meeting with the company’s 80,000 employees.
In 2019, Sadoun dispensed with the large production and recorded with just a smartphone and an assistant, Lvy. Throughout the recording, they show all the skill with framing, audio, stability and editing.
In 2018, the video shows Marcel customized into a robot with a screen not doing very well in the office.
