A coach from Rio Grande do Sul in charge, French champions in the previous edition, competition played in an Asian country, a Palmeiras goalkeeper among those called up, shirt number 9 with the initial “R”… Coincidences of winning the Penta, in 2002, with the walk to Sixth FIFA World Cup 2022 abound. And here comes one more: Richarlison, now, is the newest ambassador of the Brahma team for the Cup! In the same way as the former top scorer of the Brazilian national team, Ronaldo, was in his time.
One of the most charismatic players in Brazil, the striker was chosen for the Brahma team. It is worth mentioning that Brahma usually walks alongside the country’s stars, as in 1994 or even with a partnership in more recent World Cups. Richalison commented on his partnership with the brand:
“I am very happy to join a brand that has always been on the side of the Brazilian team. When we think of Brahma, the first memories are football, the joy of the people and the cheering fans. I am in love with the shirt of the national team and with our supporters, who here in Qatar are also very well represented by the Yellow Green Movement. Now is the time for us to go together in search of the sixth star.”
Maurício Landi, marketing director at Brahma, says:
“Brahma has been on the side of the Brazilian national team since 1958. Throughout our history, we have sponsored great artists and players, participating in major events and important moments in the country. And, in the year of the World Cup, we are bringing all the excitement of the World Cup to Brazil and even taking a lot of Brahmosity directly to Qatar with the Brazilian fans, together with the Movimento Verde Amarelo. Now, to add to all of this, we have gained Richarlison’s reinforcement in this union that has everything to be a success on and off the field.”
In this World Cup, Brahma has placed as one of the brand’s main guidelines the union of people around a common and very special feeling that is to be Brazilian in a World Cup. After showing the real meaning of the Brazilian National Team shirt, inviting consumers to wear the Amarelinha and paint Brazil in support of the national team and, to boot, bringing the official Brahma Fifa Fan Festivals Arenas to the country, the brand launched a campaign in that makes an old World Cup hit more Brazilian, with “Waka Brasil“.
