This Christmas, Netshoes, Brazil’s largest sports e-commerce, puts the Christmas reindeer on stage again, symbol of the date and already known by the brand’s customers.
Conceived by the Netshoes creative team, the character is a funny version of Santa’s sleigh puller who has no patience for bad presents. This time, the animal finds a different environment, with a World Cup theme, in which two teenagers appear tired from celebrating the soccer tournament so much. The reindeer, with its irreverent way, surprises young people with sports items as gifts, reminding them that Christmas is near and also needs to be celebrated.
Rafael Montalvão, marketing director at Netshoes, says:
“We took advantage of the unprecedented moment of proximity between the World Cup and Christmas to invest in a related action. Rena is back to remind consumers that while everyone celebrates the cup, Christmas is also here.”

Until the 11th, customers get progressive discounts. In purchases over 200 reais, 10% discount; above 250 reais, 15%, and above 300 reais, 20%. Between December 12th and 18th, the company offers options for those who want to surprise, but without spending too much and will have items with up to 70% off in several categories, such as sneakers, casual training, among others. Montalvão further states:
“The sporting item is very personal, so giving it as a gift ends up being more personalized and assertive. Whoever buys something like this dedicates much more time to choosing the product so that it really has the face of who is going to receive it.”
The campaign will run on SporTV channels and on the main online media portals.
