Platform recorded a 14% increase in the number of orders in December compared to the same period last year
With the arrival of the end of the year festivities, iFood registered a 14% growth in the number of orders when comparing the first 12 days of December 2022 with the same period of the previous year.
The number is equivalent to more than half of the orders placed throughout December 2021, 16% higher than the average orders for the previous months of this year.
In addition, last Saturday (3), the platform recorded its best order performance in a single day, totaling more than 2.8 million orders. The number equates to around 32 requests per second and over 115,000 per hour.
The results achieved are the result of the investment that the company has made over the last year to improve the quality of the service offered and the experience of the entire ecosystem, made up of couriers, partner establishments and customers.
On the weekend of December 2nd to 4th, the company also broke a sales record on the platform and from Friday to Sunday, it received more than 8 million orders for meals and purchases in the market category. Among the main orders at partner restaurants are: hamburgers, meat and chicken dishes and sandwiches (wraps).
With regard to orders via the express market, the drinks category leads the ranking and out of every 10 orders, 9 are for beer and 1 for soda, followed by bananas and milk.
