Leega, a Brazilian technology consulting company with more than 20 years of experience, has just released the third episode of Deu Leega, its monthly videocast aimed at IT professionals, technology enthusiasts and business managers.
The theme of the time, developed in partnership with AWS, is how technological solutions can contribute to companies becoming data-driven. In the new content, Leega’s Director of Operations, Arlindo Carlesso, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) solutions architect, Eneias Moreira, discuss the main ways and methodologies needed to start implementing this data-based culture, in addition to demystifying this journey . Arlindo explains:
“First, it is important that companies or those responsible for certain sectors of them know that they do not need to be experts or completely dominate the data journey to change the company’s mindset. However, for them to be successful, it is vital that they work with competent partners who can help these areas with complementary knowledge to that already practiced in the internal environment.”
AWS, for example, has more than 200 services available to customers, some of which are more data-oriented and, consequently, more used for data journeys. Such services should be chosen according to each company’s operating segment and maturity level.
Carlesso points out that it is extremely important to have trained professionals, who will know how to indicate what is most suitable for that business and for that moment. “By working in this scenario with an efficient model, in a short period of time, it will be possible to add value to the operation, understanding the needs and fitting the services into each of the spheres”.
For Leega’s director, the business model has changed for the better. He claims:
“In the past, people thought of creating a universal repository and then understanding how it would be used. Today, we think first of understanding the customer’s obstacles and then directing the most appropriate solutions to solve these problems.”
Eneias Moreira adds that changes need to be gradual, avoiding trampling steps and processes of this development. He continues on the subject:
“It is a journey that must be taken calmly. The company does not need to become cloud-native, for example, right away, but work on modernizing and generating value in its data.”
If in the past companies needed to spend time, money and energy on licensing, infrastructure and information collection, today it is possible to find partners or use services, even in an open-source format, to supply and optimize the processing and maintenance of data.
Leega even became part of the AWS ACE Program and validated with the AWS Service Delivery Program seal, becoming a member of the select APN Customer Engagements (ACE) Program of the most adopted cloud platform in the world, as a specialist partner in Amazon solutions EMR and AWS Lambda.
