The world woke up today shocked by the news of Jeremy Renner’s accident. The actor, known as the Hawkeye of the Avengers, had an accident with a snowplow, and went to a hospital. According to the latest statement, he is in critical but stable condition. Now, new details about the nature of the accident are beginning to emerge.

Jeremy Renner has a home at the Mount Rose Ski Tahoe resort near the city of Reno. The place experienced a snowstorm on New Year’s Eve. Even several houses in the area were without power – but it is not known so far if Jeremy’s house was one of them.
According to TMZ, the accident would have happened when Jeremy was cleaning at nine in front of his house so that relatives could leave. A neighbor told the site that the vehicle the actor was using – called the Snowcat – ended up getting out of hand and running over his legs. With that, “he was losing a lot of blood from his wounds. Another neighbor, who is a doctor, even put a tourniquet on his legs until help arrived. But another source for TMZ said that the injuries are “extensive”. And that “in addition to the leg, other parts of the body were also injured”.
As the roads had a lot of snow, they sent a helicopter to rescue the actor and take him to a hospital. Still according to TMZ, the case is being treated by the police as a crime, and the snowcat has already been taken for analysis.
