Podpah’s audience will have, as of today, January 16th, a new way of being closer to the channel. Igão and Mítica, hosts of the podcast, launch the channel’s official store with a variety of products for those who not only love the content, but also want to wear the Podpah brand.
The collection is inspired by artistic references from streetart, cartoons and the reality of the periphery of Brazil. Part of the profit from sales of this first batch will be donated to an institution that works with social causes in peripheral communities in São Paulo.
Fans will be able to find different models of t-shirts, hoodies and caps – these in collaboration with New Era, one of the main brands of caps in the world. All the products were created in harmony with the style that Mítico and Igão adopt in their closets.
Igao explains:
“We are fulfilling a dream, having our own store, with Podpah products. Me and Mítica handpicked all the products, curated the prints. We look for artistic references in street art, cartoons and all the symbology that surrounds the hoods, where we come from and where we identify ourselves as origins, and where most of Podpah’s main audience is. From this research, we defined that our creations would be contemplating and complementing streetwear, sportlife and, of course, the chavoso mandrake.”
Mythic complements:
“We’ve done a lot of research to be able to provide quality products to Podpah fans. And not only with regard to fabric, modeling, but also with prints that we think are cool, funny and that represent our style, our origins. We are very happy with the result and we hope that the people who enjoy Podpah will also like our products.”
The photo shoot with the store’s products was held in Jardim Peri, in the north of São Paulo, and featured Igão and Mítico themselves, as well as models Victor Eduardo, Syarlla Aquino and Fernanda Galindo.
The first collection at the Podpah store has seven models of T-shirts with different prints and in black, gray, purple and orange, for R$ 119.90. The moleton blouses are available in two models, in black and white, and cost R$ 269.90. The caps, which are in collaboration with New Era, are in black, blue and white, with straight and curved brims, priced at R$ 169.90. Credit cards are accepted and purchases can be paid in 3 interest-free installments.
Victor Assis, CEO of Podpah, says:
“By envisioning the future of Podpah as a brand, we bring more than prints to our audience. Our visual identities work in their original composition and in a deconstructed way in different pieces, objects and projects, which reflect the power of expansion and dialogue that Podpah has in different sectors of the market.”
Rafael Romano, head of channel marketing, adds:
“This is just the first collection. We created these initial models that will develop the visual language and the aesthetic concept that will permeate the subsequent creations of Loja do Podpah. We already have other prints and models approved and throughout the year we will launch them on our website. In addition, we are in the process of approving other products to be launched in 2023.”
