Journalist Kariane Costa also temporarily assumes the general management of the EBC
Journalist Kariane Costa was named president of EBC (Empresa Brasil de Comunicação) last Friday (13). She also assumes, on an interim basis, the general management of the body.
An EBC candidate since 2012, Kariane was a journalist for the ombudsman, a radio reporter, and a sectorist for the Planalto Palace and the National Congress. She was also a finalist in 2018 for the Vladmir Herzog award for the article “The Venezuelan People and the Crisis”.
At the end of last year, Lula appointed Juscelino Filho as Minister of Communications, and Paulo Pimenta as Secretary of Social Communication.
Born in São Luís (MA), Juscelino Filho is a doctor, businessman and re-elected federal deputy since 2014. He will occupy the position that was held by Fabio Faria.
Gacho Paulo Pimenta, in turn, is also a federal deputy (he is in his fifth term), a journalist and agricultural technician from UFSM (Federal University of Santa Maria).
