According to an analysis by RankMyApp, Netflix was the preferred one, with more than a million downloads per month
RankMyApp released a ranking of the most downloaded streaming apps by Brazilians in 2022. The study, which considers data from Google Play, pointed out that Netflix was the preferred platform in the country.
The service achieved an average of 1.1 million downloads per month, representing 59% of the total. Next, come Amazon Prime Video (18%), Disney+ (13%), HBO Max (8%) and Paramount+ (2%). With the result, Netflix leads the national streaming market with almost 60% market share of Google Play installations.
Netflix was more sought after in the Midwest, especially in the state of Gois, and less sought after in the Northeast, with Piau showing the lowest result (84). Prime Video had a greater presence in the South and Southeast, with Paraná in evidence, but had a worse performance in the North, and Par in the last position (60).
Disney+ appeared in more searches in the Southeast and in parts of the South and Northeast, but with Piau in last place (53). Paramount+ performed better in the Southeast and in part of the Northeast, but did not have much demand in the North, with the state of Acre having the worst index (44). With regard to streaming HBO Max, the largest presence is in parts of the Southeast (So Paulo) and Northeast (Cear) regions, with a smaller presence in Espírito Santo (62).
Satisfao
The mapping also showed that, considering the total average, Netflix users are more satisfied. The streaming platform recorded an average of 2.79 and leads in all subcategories: Billing, Customer Service, Functionalities, Login, Performance and Services.
Next, Amazon Prime Video (2.41), Paramount+ (2.13), Disney+ (2.10) and HBO Max (1.98) appear.
