Celebrating the 70th anniversary of world creativity and with the theme of the festival involving Sustainability; Impact, Effectiveness and Diversity; in addition to Equity & Inclusion; the organization was engaged with these pillars and asked the brands to show the creative impact of the project, in addition to the ‘behind the scenes’, that is, the composition of the team involved and the DE&I agenda of that agency – with the exception of the Digital Craft categories , Film Craft and Industry Craft.
As last year, registration fees were divided according to each deadline stipulated by the organization: starting today, January 19th, and until March 9th, the price varies between €630 and €2,180; after that date, subscriptions range from €850 to €2,400; the third term starts day march 23 and pricing starts at €950, going up to €2,500; finally, the last chance is from April 6th, when the value will be from €1,050 to €2,600. In any period, the highest cost category is Titanium Lions.
This year’s edition has big news, such as the new Entertainment Lions for Gaming category – there will be 30 categories in 9 specialized themes and, starting in 2023, Cannes Lions will support the industry’s effort to reduce the carbon impact in development, production and exhibition of creative works until 2030. Entrants will be encouraged to provide information describing their C02 emissions as part of the production process, using AdNet Zero’s five-point Action Plan as a guide. Such information will not enter the judgment process, it will only be an index of LIONS.
