It was a very different year from the Golden Globes. No red carpet, no celebrities, no famous people, no TV airing. We only know the winners through the site’s tweets. It was simple, just the category and the title of the winner. Attack of the Dogs e Sublime Love Love dominated between films while Succession came out victorious once again.
MJ Rodriguez made history with the first trans actress to be awarded – for Pose. And Nicole Kidman ran over Kristen Stewart for the best actress trophy with Introducing the Ricardos. Hacks also took the candy from the mouth of Ted Lasso in the best comedy category. But other than that, there were few surprises.
It is clear that the Golden Globes, with all this scandal, lost much of their relevance. But you can’t take away the importance of your choices. This week the nominees for the SAG Awards come out, this one is much more important when thinking about Oscars.
