The arrival of the Sports Summit to Brazil had the initiative of Fernando Young, a passionate Brazilian businessman who has been active in the sports market for around 20 years, who saw in Sebastian Lateulade’s Sports Summit franchise the opportunity to put Brazil on the international radar and at the center of of discussions about the sports industry. The entrepreneur says:
“I believe that São Paulo is the ideal place for the sports industry to establish business. To make up for this lack of major events that bring together the sports market in the city, I saw the Sports Summit as the perfect format for exporting to Brazil’s main economic center. It will be a great event for all of Latin America.”
Originally scheduled for 2022, the event had to be postponed due to the appearance of new variants, the worsening of the Covid-19 pandemic and consequent restrictive measures, thus making it impossible to hold it.
In 2023, Sports Summit São Paulo has the support of the São Paulo City Tourism Department and will be held in the center of the most iconic stadium in São Paulo: the Pavilhão do Pacaembu. The space has an area of more than 4 thousand square meters to receive all the attractions, names and activations.
Sebastian Lateulade Pereira, founder and CEO of Sports Summit, extols:
“São Paulo is fundamental for the sports industry in Latin America. So, we felt the need to bring an event to the city that would live up to the economic power that this metropolis represents. We are going to create the best environment and the best content so that the entire sports industry can meet and have a great business experience.”
In the coming weeks, the guests and speakers will be announced by the organization of Sports Summit São Paulo 2023 and the news can be followed on the event’s official website.
