Meta reveals finalists for the inaugural Meta Video Awards, which highlight the best uses of video on Meta’s platforms. In March of this year the market will know the winners. The jury was made up of professionals from Brazil, Argentina and Mexico.

The purpose of the award is to celebrate creativity in video and the importance of agencies, brands and creators. Therefore, Meta is proud to have launched the first edition of the Meta Video Awards, which celebrates the marketing industry.
The cases participating in this first edition had their work aired in whole or in part on Meta’s channels – between June 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022, in Argentina, Brazil or Mexico.
The award was open to agencies, brands and content creators (linked to these companies). The jury evaluated how the brand translated the briefing, or insight, into a creative campaign, using video solutions on Meta’s platforms, using the best practices that made it a reference in the industry, obtaining proven results, in addition to being relevant to the audience.
“Our video solutions, in short and long formats, have been a great success in Latin America, combining users’ consumption behavior with the highest quality creative work of the entire ecosystem in the region,” says Debora Nitta, business marketing director of Meta in Latin America.She adds that the Meta Video Awards is a very important initiative for the company, and its main objective is to celebrate and value the community that contributes so much to the success of the platforms and the industry as a whole.
Works that stand out with gold in one of the award categories automatically compete for the Grand Meta Award. The idea is to award the Grand Meta Award to campaigns that have generated business results, using Meta’s video platforms, with an innovative strategy and the potential to be a source of inspiration and influence for the entire industry.

Full Funnel Video Strategy
Evaluates campaigns that use video as the main resource in the entire strategy to achieve business objectives – from planning, through awareness to conversion. In addition to the integration of the various video formats available on Meta platforms.
Creativity Using Video
The category focuses on campaigns that use new formats and creativity to connect people with brands in innovative ways. The jury evaluated how the brand translated an idea into a campaign that mixed long and short video formats, such as Reels, augmented reality and virtual reality, with consistent results in reach, interactions and conversions.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusiveness in Action
It will reward works that have taken a proactive stand for diversity, equity and inclusion, through inspiring video narratives that seek to raise awareness, reduce discrimination, create inclusion and empower communities. Among the aspects under consideration were: whether the campaign is aimed at one or more underrepresented groups and whether it had different teams in its production.
