Co-presented by Shell and sponsored by Gerdau and Vivo, the modality tournament in Brazil will have six stages throughout the year
Surfing receives a new stage in Brazil. The Brazilian Surfing Confederation (BCSurf) and Dream Factory announced the launch of the Dream Tour 2023, a competition that will promote the sport’s ecosystem based on the trips of valuing athletes, generating new talent and attracting fans.
For the championship, the companies entered into a multiplatform partnership with Globo, which will cover the stages and broadcast on sportv, ge and Globoplay.
This initiative will give the deserved prominence to the sport. It is a platform with a huge community that is gaining more and more space. It will also help to enhance the modality’s visibility and increase the portfolio of sponsors and supporters with initiatives in three regions of the country throughout the year. In addition to all the sport’s appeal, we want to leave a legacy for the cities that will host the stages with actions aimed at economic, social and environmental development, said Jued Andari, leader of the Sports cluster at Dream Factory.
With the main quota co-presented by Shell and sponsored by Vivo and Gerdau, the Dream Tour will have six stages on beaches from the South to the Northeast of Brazil, with 64 male and 24 female athletes.
In parallel to the Dream Tour, social and environmental responsibility actions will take place to engage communities and show the benefits of investing in education and sport. Among the initiatives are waste management, reforestation and the donation of boards to local schools.
