first spoiler
If you’ve watched The Jetsons, the famous cartoon series released in the United States in the 1960s, you certainly remember the futurism imagined by the duo William Hannah and Joseph Barbera. The episodes showed what life would be like for the Jetsons family in 2062, the year in which they lived with technological advances that, at the time, looked more like a fictional scenario: suspended cities, flying cars, jobs completely done by machines and even a robot helper, who received the name of Rosie and was responsible for taking care of the family’s children and performing domestic services. We have not yet reached this level of modernity, however, many features shown in the drawing are already part of our lives, such as treadmills, tablets and even video calls – yes, the Jetsons gave the first spoiler of how almost all meetings are held of work today.
internet of things
The concept is simple: it is a house full of objects and domestic utensils connected to the Internet (the famous Internet of Things – or IoT) to be controlled and monitored. The portfolio is wide and ranges from lamps that turn on by voice command, automatic curtains, smart refrigerators and even – astonishingly – toilets. With voice-controlled devices or your cell phone screen, organizing your routine becomes more practical and you gain time to focus on what really matters. Among the products for a smart day-to-day are lighting, cameras, smart speakers, televisions, audio and sound, gas sensor, smart plug wifi, smart socket and much more.

The smart home line portfolio is becoming more and more extensive and differentiated, including being one of the main focuses of electronics brands to always stay ahead with regard to retail trends. Examples include the personal robot Temi, a half brother of Rosie from the Jestson family. It has autonomous navigation, two artificial intelligence assistants (Alexa and the owner of Temi), human-robot interaction, facial recognition and natural language processing in several languages. It can be used for remote monitoring (of the house, children, pets, etc.), entertainment, telepresence, transporting light objects, learning programming and robotics, controlling a smart home with Alexa and more uses. Who knew, right?
