New Disney campaign, Voices of Diversity brings together ten stories of real people to tell their trajectories related to diversity and representation in one-minute short films.
Each video focuses on a story, featuring accounts of people with disabilities, LGBTQIA+, black and neurodivergent people, who had their lives positively impacted by Disney characters.
In addition, considering the individuality of each one, there is a lot of intersectionality and themes of diversity among the participants, which was also one of the premises of the project.
Created and developed locally, the Disney Brazil initiative aims to continue inspiring the public through Disney stories. At all times we encourage fans to believe in their potential and inspire positive actions for society. At Disney, we believe in a world of differences and transformation, and here we want to highlight the power of influence of our stories, explains Claudia Neufeld, VP of Marketing at The Walt Disney Company Brazil.
The ten selected stories are by Rafael Alves Soares Santana de Assis, Sarah Santos de Jesus, Breno Souza Gomes, Diogo Calotto Urbano, Valter Sousa Rege, Victorya Souza Barbosa, Helena Lopes, Juliana Morbi de Andrade, Victoria Hope and Manu Arajo Marques, who have a connection with the characters Elsa (Frozen), Nemo (Finding Nemo), Genius (Aladdin), Darth Vader (Star Wars), Black Panther (Black Panther), Tiana (The Princess and the Frog), Cruella (Cruella), Makkari (Eternals), Deadpool (Deadpool) and Mirabel (Enchanto), respectively.
