ao has already registered more than 2,300 baths for homeless people over the last three years
The Solidarity Bath project was resumed in So Paulo. The initiative, carried out by the NGO Camisa Solidário, aims to provide moments of comfort and care to people in vulnerable situations. The last action took place this Sunday (5), at Ptio do Colgio, in downtown So Paulo.
The action has already registered more than 2,300 baths for homeless people over the last three years. In addition to bathing, it also offers hairdressing and barber services, hearing assessment, distribution of books and toys for children, snacks, shoes and a hygiene kit.
For the execution, the Solidarity Bath developed and manufactured a trailer designed to be self-sustainable and ecologically correct, with clean water for the baths. After the activity, the trailer returns to the operational base, where the after-bath water is discarded in Sabesp’s sewage system, receiving proper hygiene with water, detergent and disinfectants.
The project is maintained through donation campaigns, whether from individual or corporate donors, such as Lorenzetti, a company that celebrates its centenary in 2023, donated electric showers, faucets, among other products.
