YouTube Shorts surpassed the barrier of 50 billion daily views. This means significant growth in less than a year, as in the first quarter of 2022 this index was around 30 billion. The new brand crowns its already announced monetization, which started on February 1st. Also, now on YouTube creators will be able to invite others to go live from a mobile phone immediately and schedule a live stream with a guest using a computer (live control in the room) which in turn streams from a cell phone.
How to use LiveShare
This tool allows you to rotate guests on live streams, but it’s important to mention that you can only have one guest at a time. Additionally, the broadcast organizer will be able to review the stats in YouTube Studio.
How it works:
1.Open the YouTube app on your phone.
2.At the bottom, tap Create + Live Share.
3.Enter stream details such as title, description, thumbnails and visibility settings.
4.Tap Done.
5.Under “Invite a co-presenter”, choose an option to send the invitation:
- Copy the link and send it to your guest in a message (such as an email or text message).
- Send an invitation link to the person you want to share the stream with.
6.The guest will click on the link and be redirected to the lobby.
7.When you’re all set, tap Go Live.
8. When your guest enters the waiting room, the platform will show a message. Select Add and then Go Live to start streaming live.
How to join a broadcast as a guest:
You can join other people’s live streams if they invite you to join. Collaborative broadcasts can help you reach new audiences on YouTube.
1.On your mobile device, tap the invite link sent to you by the live streamer. You may have received it via email, text message, or some other messaging service.
2.Select the channel you want to stream live with.
3.When prompted, select Join.
4.While waiting to start, check the audio and video quality.
5.When you see the message “You are live”, it means you are streaming live on YouTube.
