In just over a year, the podcast currently has an average of 90 million views on YouTube and reached 1 billion views on Friday (26).
With the famous bar conversation, in the so-called Joe Rogan style, which was initially popular in the United States, Podpah has 4.23 million subscribers on the video platform, it is in the Amazon Music, Apple Music, Google Podcasts, Spotify and Deezer aggregators , and on social networks, with 1.7 million followers only on Instagram.
The content is presented by Igor Cavalari, the Igão, and Thiago Marques, the Mítica. Before Podpah, they were already known on the internet, especially by young people from the periphery, where they are from.
Igão is from Osasco, worked at McDonalds and became a YouTuber after becoming unemployed and influenced by friends who were already producing videos on the internet. Mítico, on the other hand, is from Belém (PA), and he met Igão through these mutual friends who already worked on the web.
They started Podpah by borrowing the structure from other producers and are now among the most viewed on the Brazilian internet. Djonga, Emicida, Jojo Todynho, MC Kevin, Samantha Schmütz, Mauricio Meirelles, Milene Domingues, Daniel Zuckerman, Nath Finanças, Rafinha Bastos and Nando Reis have already been there.
Among the brands that have already signed a partnership and sponsorship are Habib’s, iFood, Brahma, Guaraná Antarctica, Vans, Centauro and Kenzie Academy.
Habib’s even created a collection of cups inspired by the program. The action celebrates the company’s partnership with the attraction and is the first brand licensing made with a podcast in Brazil. The items were designed by Igão and Mítica, in a co-creation process with the agency VMLY&R.
