Penalty, sponsor of the NBB since 2017, presented the custom ball that will be used in the Game of the Stars, which is scheduled to take place in the first weekend of March.
The event will be held at Minar Tnis Clube and will feature a skills circuit, a three-point shooting tournament, in addition to games with some of the best athletes in the league.
The model, made up of stripes in red, white, yellow and purple, follows the PRO 7.8 crossover pattern, the same line used in regular matches and which has FIBA certification.
“The NBB Game of the Stars ball is unique, as every year it has a new design, maintaining the quality of the Pro 7.8 crossover. This year, as the game is in Belo Horizonte, we talked to the NBB and came to the conclusion of honoring the state of Minas Gerais. The colors of the ball, then, refer to the logo of the 2023 Game, which brings the red triangle of the Minas Gerais flag, in addition to the colors that recall some of the precious stones of the state, explained Nilton Franco, executive manager of R&D at Penalty.
Together with the NBB, Penalty has carried out several actions for the Star Game, in addition to producing all the sporting material for the event. The company will also have the naming rights for the Skills Challenge and promote other initiatives in the capital of Minas Gerais.
