The channels were created with the aim of combining the linear TV consumption habit with the advantages of the digital environment.
Globo took its first step into the universe of FAST channels (free ad supported streaming television) and announced the launch of the channels Receitas Fast and GE Fast.
Both channels combine the consumption habit of linear TV with the advantages of the digital environment, in addition to having been designed in a way where advertising delivery is more assertive to the public.
This is a very relevant launch due to the learning potential that we will have with our first FAST channels. It’s the beginning of a journey that will allow us to open new paths for programming and content distribution work, in line with the evolution of Brazilian consumption habits”, explained Raphael Corra Netto, director of Paid Entertainment, Variety, Children’s and Entertainment Channels Globe News.
Recipes FAST will present programs that focus on both beginners and those with more experience in the kitchen, with recipes ranging from simple to more advanced, encouraging healthy eating habits in an experience with chefs from Brazil and other countries.
Among the main programs will be some of the station’s classics, such as Que Marravilha! Aula de Cozinha, Dirio do Olivier, Bela Cozinha, Cooks in Action and Tem Criança na Cozinha, as well as programs on Recipes.com, such as Recipes by Joaquim, Recipes by Laura and Hackeando a Cozinha com Felipe Bronze.
At GE Fast, more geared towards sports fans, the program will feature event broadcasts, theme documentaries, coverage of sports such as volleyball, basketball, gymnastics, futsal, fights, surfing and skateboarding. The channel will also feature programs on Canal Off, such as “Gigantes do Surfe”, “Contos do Surfe”, “Pela Rua” and “Skate Sem Fronteiras”.
The channels are available free of charge on Globoplay and Samsung TV Plus, free streaming from Samsung Smart TVs.
The consumption of content by territories and in a linearized way on streaming platforms generates not only new inventories, but also great opportunities for brands. After all, they will have the chance to talk to people engaged with the theme, open to discovering news linked to it and already accustomed to the linear consumption of programs on their favorite subjects.
