the bear of Colorado, now, calls on consumers to desibernate for something beyond the flavors of their beer, its packaging! Recognized for valuing Brazilian ingredients in its recipes and for collaborating with the preservation of the environment, Colorado unites these two important pieces of its trajectory to bring the new Brasil with S nº18, a Black IPA with rapadura. In addition to the new flavor, the label arrives in glass bottles made of 100% recycled material, an unprecedented and innovative feat in its production due to the complexity of the process.
The innovative Brasil com S bottle is the result of the work that has been developed over the years by AVR, Ambev’s glass factory in Rio de Janeiro, which connects innovation and technology in the recycling process.
This was the first bottle to use 100% broken glass for its production, it is worth remembering that traditional bottles have an average of 50% recycled material, the brand avoids the use of virgin raw materials in the manufacturing process, in addition to ensuring the circular economy, bringing positive impacts in this process, such as reducing energy consumption – for every 5% inclusion of shards in the production revenue of the glass, energy consumption is reduced by 1% comparing the two production processes, in addition, there is a significant reduction of 50% in atmospheric emissions.
But it’s not just the bottle that comes to life with a few pieces put together. Brasil com S nº 18 transforms parts of the rapadura into this Black Indica – a recipe that, even when new, already has major awards, such as Country Winner and Worlds Best at the World Beer Awards 2020 and Country Winner at the 2021 edition of the award –, all of this with the company of malt, hops and water.
The new beer is a reinterpretation of the traditional Indica, but in the Black IPA version, with roasted malts to bring a differentiated color and aroma. In addition, the rapadura helps in the formation of caramel notes to the sensorial, while a generous addition of hops refers to the intense citrus and fruity aroma, giving the drink a medium/high bitterness, but very well balanced with the other ingredients.
“Colorado has always sought to bring creativity to its releases, always with respect and care for nature and the environment. Brasil com S nº 18 mixes all this in one place, not only in the beer recipe, but also in the packaging development. A more sustainable launch, and why not, much more Brazilian”, explains Daniel Carneiro, Marketing Manager for Colorado.
The novelty is available in exclusive pre-sale at Empório da Cerveja for those who are part of the Bear Family and can also be found at Urso bars and Toca do Urso.
