Fluminense launched this Tuesday (4th), in partnership with Umbro, the new uniform 2, which will be used this season. Traditionally white, Fluminense’s second set has three horizontal tricolor stripes at chest height.
Presented to fans with star Marcelo, top scorer Germán Cano and captain Gislaine starring in Umbro’s campaign, the new official uniform number 2 also highlights Fluminense’s title in the 1952 Copa Rio. : one on the inside of the collar, with the name and year of the tournament, and another on the bottom bar, with the silhouette of the trophy raised 71 years ago.
At the time, Fluminense was crowned champion at Maracan after overcoming Corinthians in the finals. Other great teams of the time also participated in the dispute, such as Pearol (Uruguay), Sporting (Portugal), Austria Viena (Austria), Grasshoppers (Switzerland), Saarbrucken (Germany) and Libertad (Paraguay).
Fluminense’s new away uniform also features the green, white and gray flag on the back of the collar, below the nape of the neck, along with the initials FFC and the double diamond Umbro symbol. The traditional forms of the English brand can also be seen in stylized graphics on the shirt sleeves, in jacquard.
