The Digital Entrepreneurship course, free and online, features video lessons, ebook and interviews with specialists and Afro-entrepreneurs
Mercado Livre and Mercado Pago teamed up to launch a course aimed at black entrepreneurs in Brazil. The initiative was announced during the last edition of Feira Preta.
The Digital Entrepreneurship course is being made available to over 1,200 entrepreneurs who have signed up since December. The project is free and online and registration is open and can be done directly on the course platform.
The content was developed based on the most recurrent themes mapped in Mercado Livre’s and Mercado Pago’s daily contact with entrepreneurs throughout Brazil and includes seven video classes, an e-book and interviews with specialists and Afro-entrepreneurs, who shared their real experiences of working in Brazil. . Subtitled, the content also has simultaneous translation into Brazilian Sign Language.
Among the topics that will be addressed in the course are the professionalization of the business; financial education and management; business digitization; communication and digital marketing; service and after-sales; short, medium and long term planning; and pricing.
In addition to specialists in e-commerce and financial services, among the entrepreneurs interviewed are Adriana Barbosa, CEO of Pretahub and Instituto Feira Preta; Iago Santos, founder and CEO of the startup Traz Favela; Willian Andr, founder and CEO of the Afroperifa brand; Karen Santos, CEO and co-founder of UX for Minas Pretas; and Alan Soares, founder of the Black Money movement.
Classes total around 50 minutes, which can be consumed in a fragmented way, at any time and through any device connected to the internet. At the end, a certificate is made available to students.
