Ao was developed by AlmapBBDO and is part of the initiatives that mark the departure of the automaker’s car
After 42 years of uninterrupted production, Volkswagen is saying goodbye to the Gol, one of the automaker’s best-selling models. Gol’s farewell was marked by an action that transformed the last unit named “Gol Last Edition”, on the beams of Estádio Urbano Caldeira, popularly known as Vila Belmiro.
To make the idea possible, it was necessary to disassemble the vehicle, select some parts and melt them in a boiler with more than 500C. Afterwards, the metal was used to manufacture the official beams of Vila Belmiro.
The action was developed by AlmapBBDO and is part of the initiatives that mark the departure of the Volkswagen Gol, which include a match against Novo Polo Track and the sending of seven Gols model 2014 to Germany during the last World Cup, in rematch with game that went down in the history of Brazil x Germany.
We embraced the idea of transforming the Goal into goals for Vila Belmiro. The Volkswagen Gol is an icon and inaugurated a new phase in the national automobile industry. Just like football, Gol is a passion, it is in the hearts of Brazilians and deserved a farewell at the height of its success, said Livia Kinoshita, executive manager of Marketing Communication at Volkswagen do Brasil.
From now on, the Memorial das Achievements, located in the stadium, will have the new beam, along with a QR Code that takes the public to the Volkswagen Gol farewell video, in addition to testimonials from idols from the Baixada Santos team like Edu , Ketlen, Joo Paulo and Lo.
