Itaú Unibanco starts an advertising campaign to publicize its credit portfolio and talk about debt renegotiation. Starred by actor and comedian Rafael Portugal, the initiative developed in partnership with the Africa agency aims to help account holders and non-account holders to understand the differences between offers and types of credit before contracting and demystify renegotiation.
Different films will be aired, in different situations, always following a simple and humorous narrative. In the first video, released on Monday, the 3rd, Portugal appears with orange hair, Itaú’s characteristic color, addressing some facilities to get bank credit, for example, hiring 100% online, directly in the app, with up to 90 days to start to switch off. The production mat with Rafael also includes actions on digital, OOH, tutorials on the bank’s networks and advertisements on radios and cinema.

Gustavo Andres, Credit Products Director at Itaú Unibanco, says:
“Credit can be an ally when used intelligently and we believe that facilitating access to information on the subject is important to help balance finances. We want people to seek Itaú as a partner and not just a provider of banking services, so we are based on guidance and transparency so that, in fact, we can help in decision-making and break with the taboo surrounding credit.”
The campaign brings relevant information to also demystify the renegotiation of debts.
Beatriz Bernardi, Director of Retail Recovery at Itaú Unibanco, adds:
“Being in default is a kind of break in dreams and renegotiation can be a great ally to put your financial life back on track and go back to planning for the future with more security. Therefore, as important as talking about credit is to draw people’s attention to this possibility, with all the support from the bank’s customer service structure to answer questions and reach the best deal.”
On this same communication front, Itaú is bringing on its website explanatory content on the subject, such as what is score and income commitment, for example.
