In the action, the athlete Nyeme entered the court to encourage young athletes not to give up sports because of the shame of menstruation.
Intimus was present at the Gerdau Minas volleyball match with an action aimed at reinforcing its position of encouraging women’s progress.
During the game that took place last Monday (10), the brand entered into an exclusive partnership with athletes who entered the court menstruating, bringing visibility and opening a conversation about the stigmas created in relation to the practice of physical activities and menstruation.
In the action entitled Jogando com Intimus and developed by the FCB agency, player Nyeme entered the court wearing a personalized T-shirt with her name printed on an absorbent pad and the Intimus logo. The action includes activation on SporTV and social networks.
Each woman deals with the cycle in her own way; some have pain and indisposition to practice physical activity during this period. But if you’re feeling good, pain-free, and have access to pads, training and competing on your period is no big deal. And the more we normalize this, the more girls stay in sports. We believe that menstruation cannot be an impediment for people to be and do what they want, said Marisa Cury Cazassa, executive marketing manager for Kimberly Clark in Brazil.
The action is also curated by PROS and the theme will be amplified by the athletes Jaqueline Carvalho, Flavia Saraiva and Victoria Albuquerque, who join the campaign to expand the conversation on their channels.
