Born in the municipality of Uberaba, in Minas Gerais, Ana Barbosa (@_anabarbos) overcame obstacles to emerge among the most prestigious models of today: at age 15, the young woman witnessed her father murder her mother. Ana collects other important accomplishments: she has already been mentioned in the disputed list “Top Newcomers”, by Models.com, walked exclusively for Prada, opened the fashion show of Elie Saab and closed the haute couture presentation of Dior.
With a meteoric curriculum, he carried out works for several other prestigious brands, such as Fendi, Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs, Loewe and Dolce & Gabbana. She recalls:
“I started to be interested in a modeling career when I attended a fashion course in my city. As soon as I finished high school, I decided to move to São Paulo and try to enter the market.”
In 2017, the professional turnaround brought new horizons to the young woman: revealed by Another Agency, by Anderson Meyer and Luiz Pretti, Ana has since then been consolidating a remarkable career in fashion.
The model also collects covers of renowned publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Numéro, Grazia and The Sunday Times. In Brazil, she was featured in several São Paulo Fashion Week shows.
Currently, he travels between London, Paris and New York, reconciling his work in fashion with actions that have an impact on society, such as the creation of the “solidarity soup” that he helps to make available monthly, feeding people in vulnerable situations.
