It’s not new that tweeters on duty clamor for treats and gifts. And, with Chevrolet, something unusual happened when a fan asked for Diogo Defante as a gift: the brand surprised the Internet by granting the request.
But as all things that are good can only get better, Chevrolet not only gave Diogo Defante to @Dangrero1 for a whole day, shaking up his routine in the fearless and fun way that only Defante can do, but also recorded a video of this encounter, which is now available on Chevrolet and the influencer’s social networks.
Chris Rego, Executive Director of Marketing for GM South America, which owns Chevrolet, comments:
“Chevrolet, as a brand that is always attentive to the demands of its consumers, is also attuned to the movement on social networks and how its public positions itself in this environment. We want to connect with our customers and surprise them with a lot of fun, wherever they are.”
For Eduardo Cabral, Planning Director at WMcCann, this action shows how the brand has its finger on the pulse of social networks, taking advantage of insights from its own followers to generate irreverent content. He claims:
“No other car brand could gift the Defante and we dove into the idea head on.”
