During the 20th, 21st and 22nd of April, the Historic Center of São Paulo was the main stage of the Festival Mundial da Criatividade, an event organized by the World Creativity Organization to connect people, expand the concept of creative economy and unite the ecosystems of creativity and innovation.
In a great inclusive celebration, with free programming, and a mix of technology, innovation, creative economy, diversity, inclusion, education, art and culture, the 102 activities carried out by the city brought together 7842 people. Lucas Foster, creator of World Creativity Day and Executive Director of the World Creativity Organization, says:
“The success of this year’s World Creativity Festival has once again secured São Paulo as the host city in 2024. With two more days of programming, we will further consolidate our vocation as a global stage for discussions on the value of human creativity for our future on Earth, central theme of United Nations Resolution 71/284.”
With more than 360 people working in different stages of the project, the Festival took place in seven different spaces in the city of São Paulo, namely: Pateo do Collegio, CCBB, Farol Santander, Espaço Aroo, Café Girondino, Casa Preta Hub and Auditorium Bruno Covas . Pateo do Collegio was also the stage for concerts by artists Céu, Johnny Hooker and Paula Lima, on the first day of the event.
Holding the festival in São Paulo was the main movement of the World Creativity Organization among the thousands of activities that celebrated the World Creativity Day, which took place simultaneously in 55 Brazilian cities and in two other countries around the world (Portugal and Canada) , impacting 49620 people.
The World Creativity Day was presented by the Ministry of Culture and Mercado Livre, in partnership with Globo media, with support from the Municipal Secretariat for Economic Development and Labor of São Paulo, Municipal Secretariat of Culture of São Paulo, Municipal Secretariat of Tourism of São Paulo , SPTuris, in addition to the institutional partnership of Co.liga, Roberto Marinho Foundation, Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI), Preta Hub and Reasons to Believe.
