The first collection between the brand and the franchise will be available in Brazil from 2024
Puma and Formula 1 have signed a contract for the German brand to become the official supplier of Formula 1 for the production of footwear, apparel and accessories for the F1 brand.
Currently, the brand is one of the main suppliers of racing equipment and lifestyle collections in motorsport with partners such as Marcedes-AMG Petronas F1, Scuderia Ferrari, Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake, BMW M Motorsport and Porsche Motorsport.
As F1 continues to grow around the world, we’re reaching new fans through major collaborations and we’re seeing the sport go places we’ve never seen it before. PUMA has a rich history in motorsport, making it the perfect fit for F1, taking sports apparel to the next level for fans on the street, drivers in the paddock and beyond, said Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1.
For Puma, the partnership is an opportunity to increase brand ownership in the sport, attract a broader fan base and reach a more diverse group of consumers.
The influence of motorsport, and Formula 1 in particular, on sports and streetwear culture has increased significantly in recent years. Our new partnership with Formula 1 is an excellent opportunity to further explore this blend of motorsport and lifestyle. Puma has always been at the intersection of sports and fashion, we feel we are in the perfect position to translate sports culture into relevant streetwear collections and propel the brand towards a young, influential and diverse audience, added Arne Freundt, CEO of PUMA.
The first PUMA x Formula 1 collection will be available in Brazil from 2024.
