Ranking online platform Cuponation places the country in third place among the nations that accumulate the most users on the social network, second only to India and the United States
Would you know how many times you heard the phrase “activate the bell and don’t forget to subscribe to the channel” today? What about last week, or last month? With worldwide popularity, YouTube has won over the audience with its variety of content. Bearing this in mind, the online platform Cuponation raised the performance of the media around the globe, and found that Brazil is among the countries that accumulate the most users on the site!
Created in 2005 and available in more than 100 countries, YouTube is still the second most accessed site in the world, second only to Google, and has around 2 billion monthly active users, according to the ranking Alexa.
In Brazil, the popularity of the social network is very high. According to the international Statista database, our territory currently appears in third place on the list of countries with the highest number of YouTube users in 2023, with around 142 million Brazilians watching content in the first month of the year alone.
Featuring 20 participating nations, the survey shows that India is the country that secures the top of the ranking, reaching 467 million users engaged with YouTube content during the same month. The United States took second place, with just over 245 million people connected to the media in the same period. Canada was in last place.
Still according to the study, despite India being in first place, the United Arab Emirates, which does not even appear in the ranking original, is the nation that has the highest percentage of digital users browsing the platform, as almost 98% of its population is on YouTube.
