Andrea Scerch to succeed the current President of Mastercard LAC, Carlo Enrico
Andrea Scerch was appointed this Tuesday (9) as president of Mastercard for the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region, effective June 1, 2023. The executive will be responsible for the strategy, direction and results of all aspects of the Mastercard operations in the region.
In his new role, Andrea will be based at the Latin America and Caribbean headquarters in Miami, USA. He will report to Ling Hai, Co-Chair of International Markets, and continue to serve on Mastercard’s Stewardship Committee.
Prior to his appointment to the presidency of Mastercard LAC, Andrea headed the company’s Consumer Products and Processing business, overseeing the development of consumer credit, debit and prepaid products for over five years, based in New York.
Prior to this role, he spent five years in London managing a core group of processing assets, including building and running Mastercard Payment Gateway Services.
Andrea will succeed the current President of Mastercard LAC, Carlo Enrico, who has been appointed to lead Global Segments and Partnerships, an area for the company’s strategic expansion into new segments and payment streams.
