The free course seeks to generate opportunities for people who live on the outskirts of So Paulo
With the aim of bringing training to the periphery free of charge and finding new hidden talents, the Perifa Criativa course was created. In addition to basic knowledge about advertising, the initiative aims to generate employment for students who complete the course in accordance with the evaluation criteria.
The project created by Douglas Bocalo, businessman and executive in the advertising market, and Thiago Vinicius, leader of social movements on the outskirts of So Paulo, has the support of agencies Ampfy, Suno, Bold, Zahg and Hub Criativo Solano Trindade.
With a focus on social inclusion, the course is aimed only at those who cannot afford to pay for quality content, each supporting agency will have the role of student sponsor.
We don’t just want to offer a course. We know that, however good it may be, social inequality and the barriers of our market make it difficult to generate jobs for people who have fewer resources. That’s why we created this sponsorship system so that, upon completing the course, the student leaves with a guaranteed job vacancy at one of the agencies participating in the project. And the participation of Thiago Vinicius is essential for the success of the course, as he will select the students. No one is better than him at identifying people who really need an opportunity., says Douglas Bocalo.
Classes will take place in face-to-face format and will be held at Solano Trindade and Ampfy offices. The first class will take place in May 2023, organized into basic advertising subjects. The idea is to train generalist students who will later be able to discover their talents and find specific paths within the agencies.
Introduction to the advertising market, how an advertising agency works, main internal areas and their responsibilities, history of Brazilian advertising, ethics and responsibility, introduction to digital, use of social networks as a communication platform for brands, trends and technology, basic processes of advertising an agency, and a campaign production workshop for social networks are some of the subjects that will be covered during the classes.
The initiative is still looking for other agencies that would be interested in participating in the project.
