The project is part of “NBA Films for Fans” which engages filmmakers around the world to celebrate basketball.
As part of the “NBA Films for Fans” project, a global initiative involving filmmakers from around the world to celebrate the NBA and basketball through their respective cultural perspectives, O2 Filmes produced three short films in Brazil.
The project held a preview screening of some of the films at an exclusive red carpet event in Salt Lake City, Utah, as part of NBA All-Star 2023, featuring seven of the participating filmmakers hailing from Australia, Brazil, Canada, India, Senegal, United Kingdom and United States.
The three Brazilian shorts include Salve, Guys, which debuted at NBA All-Star 2023, inspired by the story of Jeffeson Antnio da Silva, directed by Andr Gustavo Delo, with a script by JG Caffarelli and creative participation by Delo; Basic Rules, directed by Rodrigo Pesavento, with a screenplay by Erez Milgrom and Pesavento, and an original idea by Raphael Silva; and Nas Mos de Deus, directed by Paulinho Caruso, with a screenplay and original idea by Vaner Vendramini.
Films produced by O2 are now available on the NBA application, NBA ID.
