The area will be responsible for monitoring and acting to increase the feeling of well-being of employees
The Heineken Group announced the creation of the Happiness Board. The area will be responsible for monitoring and acting to increase the feeling of well-being of its 14,000 employees throughout Brazil.
The initiative represents a new strategic pillar for the Company to sustain the expected growth in the coming years, in line with the recently announced investments in the country.
Responsible for bringing this agenda to the center of the business, Mauricio Giamellaro, president of the Heineken Group, explained that the new board aims to understand how the company could take care of the employee in an integral way, going through the feelings and emotions with what happens inside and outside from work.
After an important phase of improvement, we were able to spread the journey of happiness to 100% of our company, mainly to our leadership. This pillar is fully aligned with our culture of respect and care, starting with our people, who are responsible for building Heineken’s history. We believe that happy people give more gifts and this is what motivates us to work towards an increasingly better and healthier environment for our team, explained the executive.
The Happiness Board is made up of Human Resources and Health professionals, such as psychologists and doctors, so that integrated physical and mental health care is possible.
For people to feel good at work, they need to feel good about life beyond work, and vice versa. The journey to happiness is always individual, but the environment can make a big difference. We are committed to inspiring a better life for our people and, consequently, for our business, added Raquel Zagui, Vice President of People at the brewery.
The new area is under the vice-presidency of Raquel with the direct leadership of Livia Azevedo, executive of the brewery since 2012, always focused on positively impacting people’s lives. Among the main attributions of his position are the governance of the biweekly happiness survey sent to all employees, leadership training and national actions aimed at continuous improvement of the work environment, mental health and encouragement of a more balanced lifestyle.
