Promoting active listening to build a consistent racial equity agenda, inside and outside the company, is part of the commitments established by Ambev and the company’s ESG practices. On this journey, in addition to carrying out external actions that contribute to the inclusion of diverse people in the ecosystem, the company also supports initiatives that highlight black culture in Brazil.
In 2022, Ambev, in partnership with Budweiser, supported AFROPUNK, the largest and most important black movement festival in the world. The company was also one of the partners in the 21st edition of Feira Preta, the largest black culture and entrepreneurship event in Latin America.
This year, Ambev took another step towards equity, and together with PretaHub, a project to accelerate black entrepreneurship in the country, it launched the Fundo Bora Cultura Preta to support entertainment and cultural projects, and generate more opportunities for producers, black artists and cultural entrepreneurs. The initiative, which is open for registration until 5:59 pm next Friday (26), is part of Bora, the company’s productive inclusion program that seeks to generate opportunities for training, employment and income.
Held for the first time, the Fund will allocate R$ 7 million, resulting from the combination of own resources and investments via incentive laws. The objective is to contemplate projects from different sectors of the creative economy that are led by black people, and to bring other companies to the agenda, showing that stimulating the productive chain is also an opportunity for the areas of marketing of experience and business.
Bora’s main objective is to promote culture projects on a long-term journey. Therefore, those selected will participate in a knowledge program created by PretaHub, Afrolab. During the experience, they will have follow-up, support and will undergo a training journey. In addition, they will have access to Ambev On trails, Ambev’s learning and development space, and training and connection actions for professionals in the area with employers in Bora.
Interested parties can check out the complete notice and register their work exclusively on the Prosas website. Arts, visual arts, gastronomy, production and dissemination of digital content, impact businesses in the creative industries, tourism, festivals, fashion and literature will be considered.
The projects will be evaluated by a panel of external professionals and also by collaborators and representatives of the Building Opportunities For Colleagues Of All Kinds (BOCK), Ambev’s racial affinity group, made up of employees from all over Brazil.
