At the invitation of PEPSI and UEFA, Anitta will lead the opening show of the 2023 UEFA Champions League final, which will take place on June 10th. The singer will perform alongside singer Burna Boy.
For the announcement, Pepsi released the teaser “The Prep”, with the participation of the singers, where viewers are able to identify the chords of the songs Its Plenty, by Burna Boy, and Envolver, by Anitta, while each one gets ready in their locker rooms for the presentation of the Pepsi Kick Off Show, just before entering the famous corridor of the UEFA Champions League, side by side, in the packed stadium, with an excited audience.
Every year, we are proud to be able to work with the greatest sensations in music. The 2023 UEFA Champions League Final PEPSI Opening Show will be hosted by international stars Anitta and Burna Boy, two artists who embody our ‘Thirsty For More’ philosophy, which celebrates people’s thirst for life, said Gustavo Reyna, Senior Director of Pepsi Global Marketing.
The brand also launched a challenge on social networks, called #PepsiKickOffShow, where fans could have the opportunity to be part of the show, showing off their skills with the ball and with dancing.
This is the seventh year that Pepsi and UEFA have marked the Champions League Final. We are proud of our long partnership with Pepsi, which allows us to bring much more appeal to fans, and we look forward to sharing this season’s UEFA Champions League Final Pepsi Opening Show with everyone,” added Guy-Laurent Epstein, Director of UEFA Marketing.
The Pepsi Opening Show will be broadcast in more than 200 countries and territories around the world, on local television networks and on the official UEFA channels on YouTube and TikTok.
