Denize Savi is the new Chief Happiness Officer (CHO) of Chilli Beans, the largest network specializing in sunglasses in Latin America, offering an exclusive wellness and happiness program to keep its employees satisfied, happy and working for a purpose.
The CHO’s work goes well beyond happy hour. In general, the specialist is the great encourager and influencer of happiness in companies. The professional is someone who will lead the debate on mental health and well-being in these settings. According to Savi, responsible for the position at the company, corporate happiness is about constant and lasting experiences for the employee to feel recognized, valued and accomplished in the professional environment.
The new initiative is in line with some of the company’s core objectives, such as concern for the well-being and mental health of employees, becoming one of the best places to work, the ambition to attract and retain talent and greater internal dynamism for those who work in the office.
Specialized in the Science of Happiness, Savi has an MBA in Positive Psychology, Neuroscience and Behavior, and obtained the certification of Chief Happiness Officer, or ‘Happiness Manager’, being responsible, together with Vinicius Kitahara, specialist in Corporate Happiness, for preparing strategies and actions that promote corporate happiness at Chilli Beans, improving engagement and productivity rates for the entire team and, consequently, for the company as a whole.
“It was with great satisfaction that I accepted this challenge. This incredible project focuses on people’s well-being, my main mission, and applies methods capable of energizing people so that they apply not only their technical ability and talent to their work, but also their passion. For this reason, the action is a match perfect balance between the science of happiness and the strategic management that needs to deliver results”, explains Denize.
A strategic management of happiness in the corporate environment has an impact on productivity and business results, and when well applied, guarantees results throughout its entire process.
“I have people who have worked with me at Chilli Beans for over 20 years. The crowd is happy in here. But, of course, we can always improve. And the work with Denize and Vinicius has this focus. We want to take even more care of our most precious asset, which are people. They brought us some indices and strategies that will help increase the level of employee engagement, greater retention of talent, personal satisfaction and purpose, among others”, adds Caito Maia, founder of Chilli Beans.
The new project operates alongside the company’s growth and development sectors. In practice, the consultancy usually starts its action plan with qualitative and quantitative research on the well-being of employees. Based on this understanding, a diagnosis is created and initiatives are outlined that make sense in the group, from feedbacks task changes. In addition, it also analyzes the company’s organizational culture and leadership alignment.
“I’ve never known a culture that has such diversity, equity and inclusion as Chilli Beans. It is a special culture, where people can be themselves at work and, adding to this culture that is already wonderful at Chilli, we have the opportunity to be a pioneer and to bring this concept of happiness together with Denize. People love it, they get emotional, they connect and they have the chance to delve deeper into a topic that is 100% important to all employees”, adds Vinicius Kitahara.
