Tatiana Marinho, who in September last year became a partner in Ghana, takes on the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the agency, which is 100% made up of black people.
The executive began her career in an advertising agency in 2001, at Propeg Comunicação, in Salvador (BA). She also worked at NBS, Morya (from the ABC / Omnicom Group) and, between 2016 and 2021, was Director of Operations at Grupo Dentsu, responsible for the agencies NBS, Isobar and DentsuMB. She has lived in São Paulo for 14 years and already considers herself a bit of a paulista, used to the frenetic pace, culture and diversity of the city.
The new CEO arrived in Ghana in November 2021, when she assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). After ten months in office, she joined the agency’s corporate structure, also made up of Ary Nogueira and Felipe Silva, co-founders and coCCOs.
“A lot of research shows that women have the ability to lead from a more creative perspective, building more solid and genuine relationships with their team. Working on this social and cultural change within organizations is a daily challenge, but as a black woman in a position of high command, I have the responsibility of showing all women that leadership is also our place, in addition to helping to form new leaders who will increasingly occupy their space in companies. In Ghana, 57% of leaders are women, and our goal is to reach 65%,” says Tatiana.
Alongside the main female leaders in Ghana, Mycra Alves (Strategy and Content director), Jessica Almeida (ACD) and Rose Sousa (Service director), Tatiana promises to implement diversity and inclusion practices so that the agency continues to rely on the community and creativity, associated with well-structured corporate governance.
