Campaign to support 12 fashion businesses led by people from the acronym
Instituto C&A, C&A’s social pillar in Brazil, and Mindse7 C&A, a brand that presents weekly collections inspired by the main conversations and styles on the streets and social media, joined forces with the Todxs organization to launch the #VistaSeuPride campaign, which seeks to strengthen the LGBTQIAP+ cause .
Rapha Dutra, trans writer, Gabriel Romo, president of Todxs and trans man, and Carolina Brando, stylist and producer of Mindse7 C&A, were invited to share their proud stories, wearing the campaign’s exclusive t-shirts, which have an updated version of the LGBTQIAP+ flag embroidered on the sleeve.
All proceeds from sales of T-shirts will be directed to a project by Instituto C&A in partnership with Todxs, with an exclusive training track developed by the non-profit organization, focused on developing and structuring brands.
#VistaSeuOrgulho aims to accelerate 12 fashion businesses in the initial phase, formal and informal, made by LGBTQIAP+ people from all regions of Brazil. We know that having a trade and being able to practice it as a means of subsistence is something that transforms lives, especially for a population that is constantly made invisible in society. The idea is that the project can completely change the trajectories and stories of these people, within fashion, says Gustavo Narciso, executive director of Instituto C&A.
The project has 12 vacancies for formal or informal businesses, 50% of which are reserved exclusively for transgender people. Among the benefits, there is legal support for the formalization of the brand and seed capital of R3,000. Applications will be accepted from July 10th.
In addition, since 2021, Instituto C&A has been connecting LGBTQIAP+ brands and entrepreneurs to the retailer’s marketplace through the Nosso Encontro Pride at C&A project, which aims to raise awareness and strengthen the cause. Last year, 10 brands were selected to create an exclusive collection with the institute.
