Claro is one of the supporters of the Teatro Claro Rio accessibility project, in an unprecedented institutional partnership between the production company Brain+ and Rede D’or. The project, which was inaugurated last Wednesday (14th) in an on-site ceremony, for guests only, makes Teatro Claro Rio the first in the city with 100% accessibility in communication in all theater sessions.
After the ceremony, guests watched a special session of the musical ’80 – A Década do Vale Tudo’, starring Sandra de Sá, presented with audio description and Libras. From this date, all sessions will have these tools. In addition to the musical, all other content offered at the theater, such as concerts, events and shows, will be progressively accessible.
The project also includes Teatro Claro São Paulo, which will later host the musical, when it will also begin this great and necessary transformation.
Claro was contemplated, for the second consecutive year, with the Anatel Award for Accessibility in Telecommunications. The operator has initiatives aimed at inclusion, such as a cell phone plan for people with hearing impairments, the Consumer Protection Code in stores, invoices in Braille and customer service in chat or video call in pounds. For Ane Lopes, Director of Brand and Communication at Claro, initiatives like these should be on all fronts.
“Being part of this project is a way of reinforcing the values of our brand. We believe that, like service delivery, culture needs to be accessible in all aspects,” he comments.
The operator carried out the first accessible television transmission for people with disabilities in Brazil during the 2022 FIFA World Cup, with audio description, subtitles and translation into Libras. A match was also shown at Teatro Claro, in São Paulo (SP).
