Brands interact on Twitter to celebrate the date
Today, June 20, is Series Day, a date created by Universal TV in Brazil in 2020. And to celebrate the occasion with fans of the content, major channels participate in a conversation on the topic on Twitter at @UniversalTVBR. Partners like Globoplay, GNT, Viva, E! Entertainment, Canal Brasil, Sony, AXN, Claro TV, SKY, among others, exchanged curiosities (and news) about their most iconic series in a humorous way and with the audience’s interaction.
@UniversalTVBR, for example, asked @globoplay what their recommendation was for the day, who soon highlighted the series Os Outro, Arcanjo Renegado, Aruanas and Rensga Hits, one for each style of fan. They also took the opportunity and announced the premiere of A Vida Pela Frente, for the 22nd.
I knew you would love #OsOutros!
As I know you enjoy adrenaline, you can marathon #ArchangelRenegade.
To be inspired, come fearlessly to #Aruanas.
And for the comfort series, play has to be on #RensgaHits!
Oh, take note of the day the 22nd will debut your new addiction: #AvidaPelaFrente!— globoplay (@globoplay) June 20, 2023
@eonlinebrasil already brought the Below Deck and Botched series to the conversation.
Today there is no red carpet, but there is a program worthy of a red carpet look for this one #DayDay perfect! We have #BelowDeck from 5:45 pm and #Botched from 21:25. You’re not going to lose, are you?

@UniversalTVBR also joked with @canalviva, asking if binge-watching soap operas on Series Day is valid. VIVA soon responded by questioning whether the police officers of Chicago PD (one of Universal TV’s successes) would be able to arrest Nazar Tedesco, an iconic character from the soap opera Senhora do Destino, shown on VIVA.
It would even hold, but not even Voight could keep Naza in the cage for a long time.

“TV series are a success among Brazilians. In 2022, we carried out the ‘Eu Em Séries’ survey, in which we analyzed the profile of fans. We found that 93% of Brazilians watch a series. That is, they have a great impact on how how we behave, what we feel and even what we consume. And the big brands know that. That’s why we have to celebrate this type of entertainment and bring the public even closer to the channels”, says Gabriel Williams, head of marketing and product from NBCUniversal in Brazil.
In addition to interacting with other channels on Twitter, Universal TV also prepared a special program for the week, showing the episodes preferred by fans of the channel’s series, chosen by them in a poll. They are episodes of series like Family Law, Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Blue Bloods.
