Action aims to promote greater safety in traffic and preserve cyclists
Mineral water Minalba launched this week a traffic awareness campaign to prevent accidents between cyclists and drivers in Campos do Jordo, a tourist city located in the interior of So Paulo where the brand’s products are produced.
The campaign signed by the brand will be run on trucks in Minalba that transport people to Taubat, and on the entry and exit portals of the city. The action draws the attention of drivers to care for cyclists in Campos do Jordo and region, which are widely used for the practice of the sport.
The number of fatal traffic accidents involving cyclists in the state of São Paulo increases every year. In 2022, the number of victims reached 357, according to data from the Traffic Accident Management Information System (Infosiga). With the high season approaching, the great movement makes the journey to Campos do Jordo a risky stretch. With this scenario in mind, Minalba intends to disseminate the basic safety measures necessary for drivers to protect athletes and avoid collisions on the road. Bringing the slogan With Respect Let’s Go Longe, the campaign emphasizes the importance of respecting bike lanes and lanes, and giving priority to cyclists in traffic.
The action is yet another of the brand’s initiatives to support the sport. To encourage the practice of physical activities and healthy habits, Minalba has already sponsored several sports activities, such as volleyball teams and the Santander Track and Field Run Series, a street racing circuit in Latin America.
