Amazon was inspired by the famous “Abecedário da Xuxa”, hit from 1988, for its new campaign. The video packed with a version of the song starts with “A for Alexa, B for stool, C for mattress…” and goes to the letter Z with various types of products. The idea of the marketplace is to reinforce the message “Everything for you, from A to Z”.
In addition to the melody and lyrics inspired by the presenter’s success, the material also brings other references from Xuxa’s career. One of them is the “legend” of the inverted disk that would play subliminal messages. Another is the phrase “sit there, Claudia”, which has become a meme in the internet age.
