In the centenary of the Camisas Negras, the team from Rio de Janeiro reverted the profit from sales of the shirts to Casa Nem
Vasco da Gama announced the launch of its new shirt in honor of Pride LGBTQIAP+, reinforcing its position against homophobia, transphobia and any type of prejudice inside and outside the stadium.
The profit earned from sales of the new Rio de Janeiro club’s mantle will be reverted to Casa Nem, a shelter for the Rio de Janeiro community. Through workshops, debates, parties and shows, the space empowers the LGBTQIAP+ public in situations of social vulnerability.
In addition to the front stripe in the colors of the LGBTQIAPN+ flag, the 2023 shirt has colorful details on the back stripe and also on the sleeves. The traditional Kappa omni on the side is also in the color of the flag. The shirt will be available from this Thursday (29) in all the official stores of Gigante da Colina.
The model for the presentation of the 2023 jersey was modeled on members of the Vasco LGBT collective and members of Casa Nem, in addition to being photographed by Alessandra Lima.
For the third consecutive year, we had the opportunity to participate with Vasco in the campaign in support of the month of LGBTQIAPN+ pride. Vasco LGBT has only three years of existence and from the first moment we were welcomed, supported and heard by the club. We do not ask for privileges, we demand respect. We are also Vasco, said Beatriz Abreu, one of the founders of the Vasco LGBT collective and a model for the campaign.
